Gospel Reading:  Luke 3:15-17, 21-22

Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass,
that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened... Luke 3:21
  
Baptism is the sign that Heaven is a free gift of grace from God, given independently, even of our ability to believe that God is that gracious.
