Unplug and Reconnect

Gospel Reading:  Luke 4:1-13

During Lent, the Church invites us to withdraw from a few of our normal patterns of consumption so that we can feast on the Bread of Heaven. We’re invited to withdraw from a few of our normal activities so we can spend a little extra time on spiritual endeavors to strengthen our relationship with God. We have an opportunity to withdraw from some of the things we normally think about, to focus our thoughts and feelings on the ministries God has called us to fulfill. This is how Jesus prepared for His ministry, and we are the beneficiaries of the time he spent in the wilderness.
